Frank Thomson served as president of the Pennsylvania Railroad from 1897 to 1899. Born in Chambersburg, Pennsylvania, in 1851, Mr. Thomson spent his entire career working on railroads. He served in the Union army during the Civil War, when he worked for the U.S. Military Railroads in the South and Southwest.
